Brooklyn Boatworks Explorers Program
Our EXPLORERS PROGRAM offers Boatworks alums a chance to continue the exciting journey they began during our in-school Optimist program. Having completed this program, participants are eligible for at least three more years of structured activities along the waterfront and in the wood shop. Join us after school and weekends, as well as over the Summer and during school breaks.
Advancing through three levels of unique workshops, projects, and field trips, BKBW Explorers make measurable gains in STEM skills, life skills, and self-confidence while exploring new academic and career opportunities. All BKBW programming is completely free of charge.
Who Can Participate: BKBW Alums - any students who have previously participated in an Opti build at their school.
How to Register:
Our Explorers Program is only available to students who have completed an in-school Opti build with us. Parents of alums should keep an eye in their email inbox for information about upcoming events, or reach out to eleanor@brooklynboatworks.org.
If you are interested in our Explorers Program (including our Summer Camp), please reach out to your child’s school to talk about bringing our boatbuilding program into the classroom.
