Buoyancy Challenge: Build a Boat, Make it Float

Ages: 11+

Total Spots: 10

Location: 268 Kent Avenue, Brooklyn

Please join us at our Kent Ave location for a buoyancy mini-lesson. We’ll discuss the physics of what makes something float or sink, as well as different physical properties such as mass, volume, and density. After the lesson, participants will put their buoyancy knowledge to the test, constructing mini boats out of recycled materials and facing off in a challenge to see whose boat can float holding the most weight.

This program will take place on Wednesday 2/22 during Midwinter Break from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
