Try YOUR hand at boat building!

Cut it, tape it, float it!  Using the Brooklyn Boatworks Boat Building Kit below, try your hand at building a model boat and earn a shot at winning our challenge.

HOW TO ENTER

Download our template and instructions and the rest is up to you!  One winner will be chosen in each of the following three categories:

  • BEST DECORATED – You are only limited by your own creativity, but your vessel must match the dimensions of the Brooklyn Boatworks Boat Building Kit pieces [photo or video submissions accepted].

  • MOST BUOYANT – Vessel must match the dimensions of the Brooklyn Boatworks Boat Building Kit pieces and utilize card stock no heavier than 110 lbs.  The vessel that stays afloat carrying the most pennies wins [video submission must capture launch and footage of each penny being added in one unedited, continuous shot].

  • LAUNCHED IN THE MOST INTERESTING PLACE – Where will you launch your boat?  Vessel must match the dimensions of the Brooklyn Boatworks Boat Building Kit pieces [photo or video submissions accepted].

We encourage you to post your boat building process, failed attempts and/or finished product on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #myboatworks

To enter, email the photo or video of your boat in accordance with the specifications above to inquiries@brooklynboatworks.org.  Multiple entries accepted.

A single household cannot win in more than one category.

No purchase necessary.  A donation does not increase the chances of winning.

By submitting your entry or posting on social media, you, the entrant, are affirming that you have reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules.
